Abstract

The research topic is the study of bank employee recruitment strategies and the role of coordination such as “a study on the Sharia banking sector in Jumhouria Bank in Libya.” The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the strategy applied to the banking sector in Libya for the recruitment of its employees, and to analyze the role of coordination between elements of the recruitment function in human resource management in Jumhouria Bank in Libya. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, and the researcher used data collection techniques by interviewing the person in charge of Jumhouria Bank in Libya. Then using document analysis techniques from Jumhouria Bank management. The results of the study conclude that: that Jumhouria Bank runs three stages of the employment functions in its HR management, and are equipped with a middle form on the bank, and this study explains that recruitment is carried out in a form that corresponds to several stages, the first: polarization in the required sectors, this is done through advertisements, through websites and through direct contact with job applicants. Then the selection is done by following the selection steps for the appropriate elements. Personal interview test, oral and written test are conducted with employees who are nominated by a special committee, then a contract that precedes the appointment. An employment contract is made with an employee, which is a one-year contract, and at the end of the contract period, it is extended for another year, or approval and guidance is given to appoint the employee concerned, or to terminate him. In addition to branches, there is also internal coordination carried out by the Human Resources Department in terms of coordination between recruitment units, between selection units with programs and procedures, and between recruitment units.
